Mr. Dennis William Waldschlager Sr., 69, passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2022, at Southwell Medical Center. A private funeral service and burial will be held for Mr. Waldschlager at a later date.
Mr. Waldschlager resided in Sycamore, Georgia with his daughter Tammy and her family, He was formerly from Brighton, Missouri.
Mr. Waldschlager was born October 30, 1952, in Dixon, Illinois. He was the son of the late Carol Marie Herbst Waldschlager Garren and the late Ron Waldschlager. Dennis spent most of his life in Missouri and helped run a Donut business with his wife in Springfield, Missouri. Fast forward 10 plus years, he started working for Roadway. While working there, he received a Heating and Air degree where he would run that business and work at Roadway.
Dennis was a dedicated, hardworking man. After retiring from Roadway, he decided to move back to Georgia where he could spend his remaining time with his family. He accomplished challenges in his life that would not even be attempted by most men. Dennis was one that never gave up regardless of the odds. He was a great motivator and teacher. Dennis loved fast cars, especially Mustangs. His son shared that in common and would spend hours "tinkering" as he called it. He also loved horses and the country life outdoors. He always made time for his family and he had a very large family.
Survivors include his daughter, Tammy Beaty and her husband Dustin Beaty of Sycamore, Georgia; step-daughter, Chassy Brines and her husband Will Brines of Brighton, Missouri; daughter, Michele Tucker and her husband Ricky Tucker of Wray, Georgia; son, Dennis Waldschlager, Jr. and his wife Vickie Waldschlager of Tifton, Georgia; eleven grandchildren, Brita Walker Hali DiCaterino, Hunter Cameron, Kylee Cameron, Kason Cameron, Holden Beaty, Heather Waldschlager, Justin Waldschlager, Cody Waldschlager, Brookelynn Brines, Hadley Brines; and he was Big Papa to eight great-grandchildren. He is also survived by three brothers, Lonnie Waldschlager of Georgia, Micheal Waldschlager and his wife Barbara of Belmont, Michigan and Neal Waldschlager of Kentucky; and one sister, Teresa Cooper of Georgia. He also has many of nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by his wife, Scarlett Waldschlager; his mother, Carol Marie Herbst Waldschlager Garren; his father, Ron Waldschlager; his sister, Julie Allen; sister-in-law, LaVonna Waldschlager; Uncle John Waldschlager; and nephew, Cliff Cooper. Now Dennis will reunite with all his loved ones in heaven, his new forever home.
