It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Eric Dean Tracy, 51, who passed away on February 24, 2022 at Baystate Medical Center. Eric, son of John Tracy and the late Jacqueline Marie Tracy, was born in Methuen, MA on December 3, 1970. Eric enjoyed working as a truck driver for Western Mass Rendering/Baker Commodities, where he considered his co-workers his family. He loved all types of music and entertaining everyone with his impeccable Karaoke skills. Eric also enjoyed spending time with his family, going to the casino, grilling perfect medium rare steaks, playing Keno with his wife, and teaching his dog Oreo new tricks. He was a huge Nascar fan and we’re sure he is rejoicing in heaven with his all-time favorite speed racer Dale Earnhardt.
Eric is survived by his loving wife of 17 years, Katherine Tracy of Wilbraham, his 3 sons Kyle, Christian, and Neevon; 3 step-daughters Melany, Kelly, Shannon and her husband Curtis; 8 grandchildren, who are going to miss “Gepa” so much, Adrianna, Marisa, Caitlynn, Roderick, Aja, Elias, Eleanor, and Atreyu; his cherished in-laws Nicky and Gloria; his favorite Karaoke duet partner, Krissy; his loving Aunt Dolly and Uncle Steve Nelson; cousins Bridgett and Erin; his sister Kim and husband Neil and their children Nicholas, William, Mary, and Lily; his brother Allen and wife Kelly and their son Nathan; and many extended family and friends who will miss him dearly.
A celebration of Eric’s life will take place at Breezeways Wellness located at 1865 Page Boulevard, Springfield, MA 01104, on Saturday, March 19, 2022 from 2pm-6pm. Our family would like to thank the amazing medical staff in the Heart & Vascular Critical Care Unit at Baystate Medical Center for their effort and compassion while caring for Eric.
