Philip “Phil” Norman Joubert, 82, skilled storyteller, passed away at his Middleboro home on Friday February 11, 2022.
He was born in Brockton to Norman Joubert and Ruby (Johnson) (Joubert) Foley.
Phil’s favorite occupations were his 29 years as a letter carrier in the town of Whitman and driving bus 9 for South Shore Vocational Technical High School until his retirement.
A graduate of Whitman High School, Class of 1957, he went on to serve in the Air Force. After serving his country, he came back to his hometown of Whitman, remaining a part of the community until he moved with his family to Middleboro in 2018. He continued to return to Whitman to visit his family and friends for as long as he was able.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years Kathy (Henshaw) Joubert, daughters Michelle (Ralph) Lauretano of Stoneham, René (Ken) Worden of Whitman, Aimée (Tim) Fitton of Middleboro, and son Peter Joubert of Wareham. Beloved Pop of Emily and Gianna Lauretano, Jack Worden, and Alexa, Theodore, and Alison Fitton. He also leaves behind his faithful companion Phoebe.
We, his family, are grateful to AccentCare Hospice for the compassionate care provided to Phil over the last few months, especially Trina, Karen, Kim, and Donna.

A graveside service is scheduled for Tuesday, March 8th at 11:15 a.m. at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Connery Ave, Bourne. If planning to attend, please plan on arriving at least 15 minutes prior to the posted time.
