John F. Tullie, age 69, of Brockton, died on Saturday February 26, 2022 at Good Samaritan Medical Center. He was born and raised in Brockton, a son of the late Joseph and Mildred (McKiernan) Tullie and lived in the city for most of his life.
John was a 1970 graduate of Cardinal Spellman High School, where he was a member of the football team. After graduation, John enlisted in the Coast Guard where he served for ten years. Following his discharge, he continued his career in the reserves and enrolled in college. John received his bachelor’s degree from University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth and master’s degree from Bentley College and earned his CPA after Bentley.
John’s career in finance began as an accountant with Ocean Spray where he worked for twenty years. He then moved to Premco Oil in Stanford, CT and retired from Acushnet Company.
John enjoyed watching all New England sports, tending his flower gardens and was a longtime fan of the NY Giants. He loved reading history and political books and caring for his pet dogs. John will be remembered as a generous, witty, funny and very intelligent man.
John is survived by his siblings Joseph, Patricia and Thomas Tullie of Brockton and several cousins.
