Obituary


Beverly L. (Jones) Lemasa, age 80, of Marshfield, formerly of Brockton, died on February 25, 2022 at South Shore Hospital. Beverly was the wife of the late Linwood S. “Murph” Lemasa. Born and raised in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Albert L. and Dorothy M. (Brainard) Jones. Beverly was a graduate of Brockton High School and for over 30 years worked as a baker at Star Market in Marshfield where she was known as the Cookie Lady.

Beverly was loving and kind and was a friend to all. Time spent with her family was the most important to her. She also enjoyed gardening and yardwork.

Beverly is survived by her children Lisa Lemasa of Millis, MA, Michael Lemasa and his husband Han Jan of Shoreline, WA and Carolyn Lemasa-Brave and her husband DuWayne of Sultan, WA. She was the grandmother of Heather Coste, Ashley Coste, Tyler Coste, Hannah Coste, Savanna Coste, Justin Brave, Eric Brave and the late Ren-Michael Brave; great grandmother of Cameron Coste, Madison Coste, Caleigh Holmes, Sophia Holmes, Emmeline Brave, Penelope Brave and Maverick Levesque and sister of the late Carolyn Jones-Deloid and Herbert Jones. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews.

Visiting Hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton on Thursday, March 3, from 4-7pm. The funeral procession will gather at the funeral home Friday at 9:30am for a Funeral Mass at Christ the King Church at 10:30am followed by burial in Calvary Cemetery.
