Ronald E. Gustafson, (“Goosie”) 64 of Worcester passed away peacefully on February 27, 2022 at Beaumont Skilled Nursing Center in Northborough. He was pre-deceased by his wife Patricia (Mulhern) Gustafson and leaves a sister JoAnn Hester of Chandler AZ and Worcester and a brother David Gustafson of Worcester. He is survived by his children John Parker, Dawn Parker and his grandchildren Cayla, Michael, Abby, Shaye and Mackenna and many nieces and nephews.
Ron was born in Worcester, son of the late John and Alberta (Burks) Gustafson. He attended Burncoat High School were he made many life long friends and later worked for several years in the construction industry for the company owned by his family.
Ron was an avid Patriots fan, he enjoyed playing softball and football and watching all sports but especially loved golf, Ron was an exceptional golfer who played countless rounds with his dad, brother, friends and family. He was so proud to be a member of the Clearview Hole in One Club.
He also enjoyed cooking, and fishing and going for long walks. His pleasures were simple. He loved time spent with his family and friends most of all, along with his dogs Bella and Gizmo and a beloved bird named “Trouble”.
Ron was quiet and gentle with a big, kind heart, he would help anyone. Ron loved to chat, he always had a favorite story to tell, but there was an extra sparkle in his eyes when he could make you laugh with his sharp, quick, and clever wit.
A calling hour will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2022 from 11 a.m.- 12 noon in Nordgren Memorial Chapel 300 Lincoln Street Worcester. A memorial service will follow at 12:00 noon in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ron's memory may be made to:
