Antonino Vetrano, of Somerville passed away on February 25, 2022. He was 89 years old. Antonino was the beloved husband of Francesca (Fodera) Vetrano. Born in Castellammare del Golfo, Sicily, Italy, he was the son of the late Antonio and Antonia (Letizia) Vetrano.
Antonino moved to America from Sicily at a young age to provide himself and his family a better life. He worked as a maintenance person in the building management industry until his retirement. Antonino loved hunting, working in his garden and making his own wine. His family always admired his incredible memory. Above all, he was dedicated to his family.
Antonino was the devoted father of Antonia DiGirolamo and her husband Ignazio of Methuen, Antonio Vetrano and his wife Malvine of Peabody and Gaetano Vetrano and his wife Sonia of Billerica. He was the adored grandfather of Sebastiano, Silvia and Francesca Coco, Anthony, Sophia, Bella and Nicholas Vetrano, Caleesia Vetrano and the loving great-grandfather of Cordelia Oliviera. Antonino was the dear brother of Carlo Vetrano of Somerville and the late Giuseppe, Rocco and Francesca Vetrano.
Visiting hours will be held in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, on Saturday, March 5, from 8AM-11AM, followed by a funeral service in the funeral home beginning at 11AM. Relatives and friends are cordially invited.
Entombment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery.
