Mr. Rodney James Hostetler, 73, passed away on February 26, 2022, at home surrounded by family in Fitzgerald, Georgia.
Graveside services will be held 11 AM, Tuesday, March 1, 2022, at Evergreen Cemetery, with the Rev. B.J. Funk and the Rev. Chris Ramsey officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 10 AM at the funeral home on Tuesday.
Mr. Hostetler was born on May 4, 1948 to the late Arthur Ray & June Long Hostetler, in Canton, Ohio. With his wife and children, Mr. Hostetler relocated to Fitzgerald, Georgia with Delphi in December of 1984. He retired in 2005 as a machine operator. He was a member of Central United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Sue Parker Hostetler; daughter: Stacie (David) Mims; son, Ryan (Chasity) Hostetler; son, Daniel (Irah) Hostetler, II, and a daughter, Brooke (Chris) Harper; along with six grandchildren: Ethan (Neeli) Mims, Riley Mims, Draven Harper, Diadema Hostetler, Phoenix Fletcher, and Reegan Hostetler; and surviving siblings: brothers: Martin, George and Randy Hostetler; and sisters: Aleta Hostetler and Della (Jeff) Lesnoski. Including his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Lonnie Hostetler Burkheart and a brother, Daniel Blake Hostetler.
