Dr. Martha A. Carville-Patch, DNP, 70, of Dracut, passed away Wednesday, February 23, 2022, at Kaplan Hospice House in Danvers after a lengthy illness.
A daughter of the late Eugene Carville and the late Kathleen (King) Moynahan, she was born on May 6, 1951, in Lowell, and was educated in the local schools. Martha attained her Doctorate Nurse Practioner, of which she was extremely proud of throughout her life. She worked as a nurse for St. Joseph’s Hospital in Lowell, Boston City Hospital, Tewksbury Hospital, and Lowell General Hospital retiring after over forty years of dedicated service to her profession. Martha enjoyed her job immensely.
She was a member of the Dracut Garden Club for many years and loved plants. Her pride and joy was her home and garden. She also liked to golf and enjoyed spending time at the Beach and traveling to Walt Disney World.
Her survivors include her daughter, Jessica Carville-Whittingham and her husband, Kevin, of Dracut; her son, Christopher Patch of Dracut; her grandchildren, Kathleen ‘Katie’ Whittingham and Sean Whittingham both of Dracut; her brother, Richard Carville of Lowell; her sister, Mary Ellen McCarthy and her husband, Gary, of Dracut; as well as her good friends, Jacqueline Sumner of Michigan, Debora Courtemanche of Dracut and Donna Vallois of Dracut along with Dracut Garden Club friends and several nieces and nephews.
She was also a sister of the late John ‘Jack’ Carville who was killed in Vietnam.

On Wednesday, Her Funeral will begin at 10 a.m. at the MCDONOUGH FUNERAL HOME, 14 HIGHLAND STREET, LOWELL 978-458-6816. Her Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial in St. Patrick Cemetery.
