Eliese Holbrook McBrayer, 88, of Tifton passed away Friday, February 25, 2022, at her residence. Her funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, February 28, 2022, at Pineview Holiness Baptist Church with the Rev. John Sewell officiating. Tony McBrayer will give a eulogy. Mrs. McBrayer will be laid to rest at Pineview Holiness Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, February 28, 2022, at Pineview Holiness Baptist Church from 2:00 p.m. until the hour of the service.
Jason McBrayer, Andy Douglas, Robbie McBrayer, Dennis Evans, Steve Ruis and Alex Evans will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be the men of Pineview Holiness Baptist Church
Born September 24, 1933, in Tifton, Mrs. McBrayer was the daughter of the late Dewey Holbrook and Effie Mae Mason Holbrook. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James “Buford” McBrayer; and one daughter, June McBrayer. She was a homemaker and a member of Pineview Holiness Baptist Church. She loved her family and she loved God. She loved to cook and care for her family and she loved to go to church. She loved shopping, flowers and hummingbirds. She had a special bond with her great-grandchildren, Brayden and Emily Douglas.
Mrs. McBrayer is survived by two sons and two daughters, Larry McBrayer of Tifton, Randall and Emma McBrayer of Baxley, Patricia and Joey Garrick and Betty Sue McBrayer, all of Tifton; one brother and sister-in-law, Wendell and Michelle Holbrook of Canton; one sister, Barbara Swafford of Griffin; three grandchildren and their spouses, Jason and Erika McBrayer of Ringgold, Sherry and Dennis Evans of Moultrie and Brandi and Andy Douglas of Tifton; nine great-grandchildren; and seven great-great grandchildren.
