Obituary

Annette Dias, a long-time resident of Brockton, MA passed away peacefully after a long illness on February 19, 2022, at the age of 82. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Annette was born on December 10,1939 and raised in South Boston, MA and later moved to Randolph MA. She was the daughter of the late Anthony and Anna Smith and the widow of the late Joseph Dias.

Annette is survived by her four daughters; Deborah Fitzgerald of Plymouth, MA; Donna Miranda and her husband Wayne of Taunton, MA; Denise DeBellis and her husband Tony of Oxford, MA and Danielle White and her husband Michael of East Bridgewater, MA. Annette is also survived by four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren whom she adored immensely.

Annette graduated from Randolph High School in 1957. After graduating she worked at Travelers Insurance Company and often told the story of how her water broke on the train into Boston when she was pregnant with her first child. Annette later worked at Shaw’s Supermarket for many years but her favorite job was being a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Annette always made sure her grandchildren and great grandchildren were never at a loss for snacks, toys, and dollar bills.

She enjoyed reading, watching old television shows, and talking about her love of Tom Brady while sipping on her favorite Dunkin Donuts iced coffee. She also took great pride in her yard and beautiful flower gardens. She would spend hours on her deck where she would love to tell stories of what it
was like to grow up in South Boston, how she almost became a flight attendant right out of high school or how when she was a teenager a fortune teller told her that she was going to have four
daughters.

Annette was a tremendous woman with a beautiful soul, and she will be missed by all that knew her.

Friends and family are invited to help celebrate her life on Sunday March 6 from 2-4 pm at the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, 666 Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 @ the rotary) Whitman MA. A funeral service is scheduled for Monday March 7th at 11:30 a.m. at the
