Rhonda Ellen (Mazar) Merritt Trieger, 71, of Brockton, Massachusetts passed on February 21st at Good Samaritan Medical Center after complications from COVID.
Born in Brighton, Massachusetts in 1950 and the second daughter of the late Dorothy (Jacobs) Mazar and Philip Mazar, she graduated from Brookline High School in 1968. She went on to become a homemaker and a mother of 8.
She was an avid baseball fan and heavily enjoyed spending time with her family as well as her cats that she loved dearly. She was a resident of the Brockton area since the early 1980s.
She was the wife of the late James Francis Merritt as well as Robert Trieger. She also was a longtime partner of William Charles Duff.
Rhonda was a loving mother to Paula Gentile and her husband Raymond of East Taunton, Travis Merritt of Brockton, Lauren Trieger of New Bedford, Christina Duff of Brockton, Barbara Duff of Taunton, William Duff of Brockton, Ashley Duff of Brockton, Darci Sanchez and her husband Rafael of Brockton. She was the sister of the late Elaine Mazar and is survived by her sister Jacqueline Brow of Bridgewater. She leaves behind her 17 grandchildren, Jonathan Gentile, Madison Gentile, Sage Robertson, Dwanye Gibbons Jr, Dante Boyce, Arianna Tessier, Ryan Merritt, Alise Gibbons, Traivon Duff, Derek Garcia, Declin Boyce, Teylin Boyce Duff, Jonjey Perez, Jose Negron Cruz Jr, Jaxxon Gentile, Gabriel Sanchez, Willow Boyce Duff, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was a devoted cat mom to her boys, Max, Jack and Derek, as well as many other fur-babies including her favorite Tubbs.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Sunday, February 27th, 1:00-3:00pm at the Blanchard Funeral Chapel located on Plymouth Street (Route 58 @ Rotary) in Whitman, Massachusetts. There will be no funeral services as her wishes were to be cremated.
