Deborah M. (Spears) Holland, age 67, of Attleboro, formerly of Mansfield, passed away in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, February 19, 2022. She was the beloved companion of Peter Lange, whom she happily shared the past twenty-eight years together with.
Born in Attleboro, MA on October 9, 1954, she was a loving daughter of the late Joseph E. and Mabel E. (Lowe) Spears.
Debbie grew up and was educated in Mansfield. She had worked for eighteen years as a Cafeteria Manager at the Wrentham Developmental Center in Wrentham and in childcare, alongside her daughter, at Tina’s Little Angels in Norton,
Debbie had made her home in Attleboro for the past twenty-five years and was a member of the Mansfield Congregational Church. She loved her family dearly and the greatest pride and joy in life were her grandchildren. Debbie also enjoyed crafts, shopping, times spent at the beach and will always be remembered for the special place she held sacred in her heart for animals.
In addition to Peter, she is survived by her devoted daughters: Tina Lee Holland and her longtime companion Paul Gato of Taunton and Tammy L. Thompson and her husband Jeff of North Attleboro. She was the adoring grandmother of Cameron, Justin, Kelsey, Ryan and Brody. She was the dear sister of Robert Westgate and his wife Nancy of Williamsburg, MA, Jo-Ann Fimiani and her husband David of Melrose, Brenda Kesaris and her husband John of Pembroke and Randy Spears of Florida. She is also survived by her loving nieces and nephews and her special four-legged best friend “CiCi”.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visiting hours on Friday, March 11th from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main Street, Mansfield.
A service in celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, March 12th at 10:00 A.M. in the Mansfield Congregational Church, 17 West Street, Mansfield. Burial will follow at the Spring Brook Cemetery in Mansfield.
In lieu of flowers, Deborah’s family has requested that donations in her memory be made to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, 450 Brookline Avenue, Boston, MA 02215-5450 or to the MSPCA, 1300 West Elm Street Extension, Brockton, MA 02301.
