L inda Kay (Baker) Jones, 63, of Anderson, died unexpectedly in her sleep on February 17, 2022 at residence.
She was born October 9, 1958 in Anderson, the daughter of Jim and Sophie (Lornez) Baker.
She served in the United States Army. She graduated from Ball State and Anderson University, then was employed by the State of Indiana in the food stamp program most of her adult life.
She is survived by her father, Jim Baker; her son, Clifton Jones both of Anderson; five grandchildren, I'Leya, L'leana of Kansas, Sumayyah, Jannah and Nylah; three siblings, Karen (Joe) Parker of Concord, North Carolina, Brian (Connie) Baker of Anderson and Carol (Larry) McWhorter of Anderson; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Sophie (Lornez) Baker; her ex-husband, Bobby Jones; grandson, Ahmad Jones and a niece, Lindsay Cooper.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, February 25, 2022 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service. Visitation will be Friday, from noon until the 2 p.m. service at the funeral home.
