SOUGARIS, Arthur Age 88, Longtime resident of West Roxbury, formerly of Jamaica Plain, originally of Aidonohori, Konitsa, Greece, passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his loving family on February 20, 2022. Beloved husband of Areti (Gouras) Sougaris for 54 years. Devoted father of Georgia Sougaris of West Roxbury and Sotiri Sougaris and his wife Heather of Foxboro. Loving Pappou of Anastasia, Grace, Sophia, and Alexis. Brother of the late Kostas Sougarides. Nephew of Andromahi Siaphis. Also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Arthur was a longtime member of St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church, and St. Nectarios Greek Orthodox Church. Arthur enjoyed spending time with his granddaughters and family of whom he was very proud.
A visitation will be held at St. Nectarios Greek Orthodox Church, 39 Belgrade Ave., Roslindale on Thursday, February 24th from 10-11am. Followed by a Funeral Service beginning at 11am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Arthur's memory to St. Nectarios Church, 39 Belgrade Ave. Roslindale, MA 02131.
