Richard J. Barrosi, Sr., age 77, of Norton, formerly of North Easton, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, February 20, 2022. He was the beloved husband of Louise E. (Regele) Barossi, to whom he was wed for nearly fifty years.
Born in Boston, MA on April 26, 1944, he was a loving son of the late Salvatore and Stefania (Pickarski) Barossi.
Richard grew up in the Dorchester neighborhood of Boston and was educated in Boston schools. He had made his home in Norton for the past five years and prior to retiring in 2009, worked as a purchasing agent and vice-president at the Metropolitan Telephone Company in Walpole for forty-five years.
Richard had a wide variety of interests and hobbies, including history, traveling, lighthouses and watching a good movie. Most of all was his love of taking picture and videos and will always be fondly remembered for having a camera in his hand. He treasured the times spent with family, especially with his adoring grandchildren.
In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by his devoted children Richard J. Barossi, Jr. of Norton, Robert A. Barossi of Peabody and Jennifer R. Kell and her husband Jason of Norton. He was the cherished and proud grandfather of Jackson Kell and April Kell. He was the dear brother of Marie Cardillo and her husband Gerard of Wareham and Victor Barossi and his wife Delphine of Centerville. He is also survived by his many loving nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visiting hours on Thursday, February 24th from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home, 19 Clapp Street (Off Route 140, Taunton Avenue) Norton.
His funeral service will be held on Friday, February 25th at 3::00 P.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will be private.
