Robert H. Taylor
November 7, 1930- February 17, 2022

Robert H. Taylor, 91, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, February 17, 2022 after an extended illness.
Robert was born in Frankton on November 7, 1930, son of Robert H. and Elosa F. (Allen) Taylor but was a lifelong resident of Anderson. On September 17, 1950, he married his high school sweetheart, Marvenia (Schoonover) Taylor and they shared 37½ years together.
Robert graduated from Anderson High School in 1949. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War aboard the USS Iowa and USS New Jersey from 1951 to 1955. He also worked as a draftsman for Delco Remy from 1949 to 1987. In 1967, he graduated from the New York Institute of Photography and he and Marvenia opened Robert Taylor Photography in 1968, which still exists today as Taylor Photography in downtown Anderson.
Robert was an active and faithful member of Chesterfield Christian Church, where he was a member of the choir. His greatest love and joy in life was spending time with his family and spending time fishing on Lake Tippecanoe.
Robert is survived by his daughter, Vicki (Virgil) Cook of Anderson, and his son, Brian (Kelli) Taylor (Anderson); 8 grandchildren, Jennifer (Adam) Neise, Joshua (Ann) Miller, Virgil Cook, III, Amy (Johnny) Wiles, Jonathon (Kristin) Cook, Jordan Cook, Brandon (Michelle) Taylor, Alexa (Randy) Weaver; 17 great-grandchildren, Gabriel and Daniella Neise, Caden and McKenzie Miller, Ethan Dilts, Emma Cook, Lilly Cook, Addison (Dallas) Comer, Merissa (Jacob) Kriegel, Caitlin Calfee, Leighton Cook, Bentley, Piper and Taylor Cook, Caleb and Maeve Taylor, and River Weaver; 2 great-great grandchildren, Alice Bell and Amelia Kriegel, Brother, Rex (Gerry) Taylor; Nephews, Doug Lawler and Dennis (Tammy) Lawler; niece, Kristin (Adam) Schmiedeknecht and Stephanie Taylor; brother-in-law, Don Lawler and his special companion of many years, Louann Campbell.
Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Marvenia (Schoonover) Taylor, and parents Robert H. and Elosa Taylor.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 26, 2022, at Chesterfield Christian Church (207 E Plum St, Chesterfield, IN 46017) with Rev. Ned Clark officiating.
The Taylor family will receive friends at the church beginning at 11 AM Saturday.
