Robert (Bob) Thomas Moro, long time Westchester resident, passed away unexpectedly and peacefully
on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at the age of 70 at his home in Ossining, New York.
Born September 16, 1951 in Brooklyn, New York and raised in Ossining, New York, Bob graduated from
The Hackley School and he later earned a Bachelor’s degree from Ithica College.
While Bob had a lifelong passion for all things hockey and was a very fine player, he had a raw talent for
golf that developed early in life. A member of the Professional Golfers’ Association for over forty years,
he began his career at Hudson Hills Club in Ossining, New York, became head professional at Willow
Ridge Country Club in Rye, New York and then was the long-time head pro at the Whippoorwill Club in
Armonk, New York.
Bob is survived by his mother Margaret Moro; his daughters, Lindsay, Kimberly, and Brielle; and his
grandchildren, Avery, Everett and Lila. He was predeceased by his sister, Kathleen (Kathy) and his father,
Thomas Moro. All will remember Bob’s warm and welcoming smile. A private memorial will be held at a
later date.
