Jacqueline V. Kautz age 87 of Lynnfield, MA passed peacefully at home with her family at her side.
A dutiful and loving daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, Jackie gave her best to everything she did and everyone she loved. From age 16 to age 60 she worked for the Everett Public School Department and as an aide to the mayor of Everett. Jackie retired to care for her failing mother. While working, she received a BA degree in education from Salem State University, became a talented painter and enjoyed her pet dogs, especially Sheba. After retirement and the loss of her mother, Jackie spent her time attending daily mass, coffee, and the social club at Our Lady of the Assumption church. She participated in several golf leagues and enjoyed weekly card games with her friends. Jackie traveled well into her 80’s and was still mowing her lawn, raking her leaves, and snow blowing her driveway. Most notable about Jackie, among family and friends, was the way that she was there for everyone attending all important events, sending cards, staying in touch, letting each know how much she cared.
Jacqueline was predeceased by her parents Velma F. and William A. Kautz, her brother William L. Kautz, her sister-in-law Virginia M. Kautz, and her nephew Timothy R. Bean. She was the beloved sister of Robert B. Kautz of Wells, Maine, the cherished aunt of Julie Kautz Mills, Kimberly J. Kautz, Lisa V. Kautz, William E. Kautz, Edgar E. Bean (Julie C.), and Timothy R. Bean and the dear great aunt of Nathaniel J. and Zachary W. Mills, Gabriele W. Kautz, Joshua E. Michaud, Nathan E. Bean, Nicole A. Bean Toner, Olivia P. and Lilly K. Bean, and their mother Cynthia H. Bean. She also leaves behind her lifelong girlfriends (the Sisters of the Seashell), church and golf friends, and many others. The family is grateful to her skilled and compassionate caregivers especially Jessie, Nancy, and Nicki.
A Mass and Burial will be held in late Spring 2022. Donations in her honor may be made to Care Dimensions Hospice, 75 Sylvan Street, Suite B-102, Danvers, MA 01923.
