Gladys Veronica Erickson, 101 years old of Ojai, California passed away on January 8, 2022 at Ojai Continuing Care Center. Gladys was born in Fall River, Massachusetts to Joseph and Sarah Griffin on September 26, 1920. She attended Durfee High School. Gladys was preceded in death by beloved husband of 62 Years, Clinton Freemont Erickson. Gladys and Clinton enjoyed their final years together living at St Joseph's Retirement Center Independent Living in Ojai, CA.
Gladys is also preceded in death by brothers: William, Joseph, Lewis, John, Thomas, Owen and Robert; sisters: Dorothy, Ruth, Anne, Ellen and surviving sister Margaret Abney of Arkansas.
Gladys is survived by daughter, Judy Willey and husband Bob, of New Holland, Pennsylvania; grandsons: Robert and Sean; and great granddaughter Rachel; son, Clinton Erickson and wife Jeanne of Ojai, California; grandchildren: Cindy, Clinton, and Cassie; great grandchildren: Ashley, Amanda, Brittney, Jacob, Jeremy, Clinton, Kaitlyn, Kayla, Taylor, Jason, Hayden; great-great grandchildren: Xander, Lexi, Cheyenne, Ace, Nikki, Savannah, Delilah, Maverick, and Oliver; daughter, Rosemary Schadel and husband Michael of Coeur D' Alene, Idaho; grandchildren: Joy and Michael; great granddaughters: Katie and Ellie; daughter, Helen Lombardi and Husband Michael of Reno, Nevada; grandson, Christopher; great grandchildren: Samantha, Kaylee, Nicholas, and Joey; and great-great granddaughter, Maddison.
The family wishes to express their love and gratitude to the management and staff at Ojai Continuing Care for their love and care of their precious mother. Gladys' testimony was love of God, Family, and Friends. Her beautiful smile was the window to an exceptional soul of faith. The motto of her long life was,"you either trust God or you don't." The reward of her humble life was hearing the words of her Savior, Well done my good and faithful Servant.
