New Bedford – Adrien J. Aubut, 91, of N. Dartmouth, died Wednesday, April 26, 2006 at St. Luke’s Hospital after a long illness. He was the widower of Lauretta B. (Neveu) Aubut to whom he was married for 63 years.
Born in Fall River, son of the late Napoleon and Julianna (Bacon) Aubut, he had resided in N. Dartmouth for the past 50 years. Prior to his retirement he was a foreman for Firestone Rubber Company in Fall River. He was a Communicant of St. George Church, Westport. A veteran on WWII and the Korean War, he served his country in the United States Army. Mr. Aubut enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a member of various organizations.
Survivors include a son: Robert A. Aubut of Dartmouth; a daughter: Annette M. Allen of Elijay, GA; a brother: Lionel Aubut of Freetown; a sister: Theresa Babcock of Norton; 9 grandchildren; several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was brother of the late Roland, Norman, Lucien, Herve, Roger and Michael Robert Aubut and Rita Babcock.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Tuesday, May 2, 2006 from the Potter Funeral Home, 81 Reed Rd., Westport at 8:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. George Church, Westport at 9:00 A.M.
Calling hours Monday 5 – 8 P.M.
Interment will be private.
