Alfreda “Freda” (Brett) Cirelli, 92, of Rockland, MA
Loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and aunt died peacefully at home on Friday February 16, 2022.
Freda was born and raised in Abington, MA, and she was a true “Abingtonian.” She was the daughter of the late William and Bernice Brett.
Freda is survived by her daughter Linda “Lin” Loffert and her husband David of Queens, NY; her daughter Michelle Cirelli of Rockland, MA; her pre-deceased son Steven Cirelli, daughter Lisa Wilkinson and husband Kevin of Conway, SC, and her son Joseph L. Cirelli, Jr., of Abington, MA, and many nieces and nephews, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Alfreda was a graduate of Abington High School, where she received great praise for her superb athletic skills and abilities. While attending school, Freda worked at Tots and Togs Manufacturing Company, in North Abington, MA, where she perfected her sewing and designing skills.
Freda touched everyone she came in contact with; notably, a diverse group of women who were all part of a special social group referred to as “The Coffee Clutch.” The close friends would meet and all share Freda’s sense of adventure, loyalty, and friendship.
Friends and family will gather together on Sunday, February 20th, at the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 @ the rotary) Whitman, MA from 2 pm - 4 pm; immediately followed by a memorial service at 4 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Freda’s name to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, the American Heart Association, the American Cancer Society, or the Abington Historical Society; all causes dear to her heart.
