LIMINGTON – Jeffrey D. Spearin, age 62, passed away peacefully on February 16, 2022, surrounded by loving family and friends.
He was born in Gorham, Maine on July 26, 1959, a son of Hazen and Velma Spearin.
Jeff began life in a humble family that had a backbone of hard work and integrity. Growing up, he carried those values with him, graduated high school, and began working in the trades. At the age of 22 Jeff welcomed his first Son Justin Spearin, whom he loved dearly, into the world. It was while working at Herman Shoe that Jeff met one of his closest friends Keith Temm. Through Keith, Jeff met the love of his life, and gift from God, Heidi. In 1984 Jeff found a career and home at RJ Grondin and Sons and began working toward better life for his family. In April of 1990, Jeff and Heidi welcomed Matthew, his second son. Much to their surprise, 10 months after Matthew was born, Joshua was born in February of 1991. Times were hard but love was strong, and together they raised their sons starting in a small apartment near Pine Point, Maine to building their forever home in Limington.
Jeff was a straight shooter, tell it like it is type of man. He was old school and with that came honesty, loyalty, a hard work ethic, and dependability. Those character traits are what made him the great husband, father, and friend that he was. Throughout his 38 years at RJ Grondin and Sons, Jeff built strong lifelong friendships. He valued and loved the company he worked for. He loved it even more when his sons, Matt and Josh, came to work at the company as well. He was a hard worker and he passed down those values to each of his sons. He was proudest in life when he watched his sons’ achievements. Jeff made many memories with his family and friends on trips that involved snowmobiling, four wheeling, camping, and fishing. He loved Nascar and going to the races, watching old westerns, listening to rock music, and enjoying whiskey and ginger ales.
Jeff is predeceased by his mother, Velma Spearin, and paternal grandparents Irene and Clarence Spearin. Jeff is survived by his wife Heidi and their dog Lizzie of Limington; his children Justin of Gorham, Matthew and his wife Aly of Casco, Joshua and his wife Dani of Otisfield; grandchildren Brooklyn, Justin, Cameron, Charlotte, Amelia, Grace, and soon to arrive Jack; Father Hazen of Limington; Brother David and wife Theresa of Limington; Neice and Nephews Jessica, David, Peter, and John; and many friends who loved him dearly.
A celebration of Jeffrey’s life will be held at a later date.
