Paul F. “Bow” Folan, age 76, of North Attleboro, formerly of Mansfield, passed away in the comfort of his home, following a valiant battle with IPF on Thursday, February 17, 2022. He was the beloved husband of Janet A. (Martin) Folan, to whom he was wed for fifty-four years.
Born in Norwood, MA on May 5, 1945, he was a loving son of the late John T., Sr. and Mary R. (Scullin) Folan.
Bow grew up in Norwood and was a 1963 graduate of Norwood High School. He had made his home in North Attleboro for the past year and was a former fifty-one-year resident of Mansfield. Prior to retiring, he had worked for over forty years as a printer at the W.E. Andrews Company in Bedford.
Paul’s family, whom he loved dearly, was truly the essence of his life. He was an avid golfer and a former member of the Foxborough Country Club. His other hobbies included fishing and boating and at the time of his death, was anticipating the birth of his first great grandchild.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his devoted children: Julie Sherman and her husband Scott of Plainville, Colleen Mosley and her husband Bob of Middleboro, Cathleen Cooper of California and Patrick Folan and his wife Julie of Idaho. He was the cherished grandfather of Megan Laserna and her husband Brandon, Amanda Sohn and her husband Evan, Austin Sherman, Ashley Groscos and her husband Gui, Isabelle Mosley, Daniel Mosley, Bobby Mosley, Rose Folan and Henry Folan. He was the dear brother of Marylou Delamater of Idaho, Annemarie Vail and her husband Paul of Florida, Dr Richard Folan and his wife Kay of Colorado and the late John “Jack” Folan, Jr., who is survived by his wife Alice Folan of North Falmouth. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visiting hours on Monday, February 21st from 4:00-7:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main Street, Mansfield.
A graveside funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 22nd at 11:30 A.M. at Highland Cemetery 320 Winter Street in Norwood.
