Erich Schroder 75, of Oxnard, California, passed away on February 10 th ,
2022 at home with family at his side following a courageous and long battle
with cancer. Erich was born on May 18, 1946 in Kirchheim Teck a town in
Baden-Württemberg, Germany, in the district of Esslingen.
Erich loved his family and was the epitome of a provider and patriarch. He
was loved by many and was known for his self-less acts of kindness, always
lending a helping hand, making others feel good, best hugs ever,
hardworking nature, and unique sense of humor. His life has touched us in
more ways than we can count.
For many years he specialized in high end granite and marble custom work,
his craftsmanship was top notch and distinctive. All of his customers
became lifelong friends. In 2006 Erich became a member of Anacapa
Lodge #710 in Oxnard with a degree of Master Mason.
He is survived by his wife Sue Schroder, daughter Jacqueline Brown
(Robert), granddaughters Destiny and Brooklynn, grandsons Shawn and
Christopher, daughter in-law Aliona Schroder (Mario), and granddaughter
Helene, daughter Simone Schroder and son Julian Schroder, and of Germany
his brother Alfred Schroder (Helga), sisters Martha, Christine, and Petra
(Sven) and multiple nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his
parents, Willy and Martha Schroder, brother Hermann Schroder, and son
Mario Schroder of Germany.
You are so loved Erich Schroder and will forever reside in our hearts and
memories. Dearest Sonnenschein, rest in peace with our Heavenly Father.
The family would like to thank Livingston Hospice Services for their
kindness and caring.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Erich’s memory to St. Jude
Children’s Research Hospital or Livingston Memorial Visiting Nursing
Association & Hospice or other charity of your choice.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Boyoko & Reardon Mortuary &
Cremation, Ventura. At this time no in-person memorial is planned, a life
tribute video will be shared when completed.
