SPRINGFIELD – Therese A. "Terry" (Nadeau) LaFlamme, 60, of the Hungry Hill section of Springfield, was Called Safely Home on Tuesday, February 15, 2022. She passed into Eternal Life at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family. She was born in Holyoke on February 23, 1961, a daughter of the late Marcel F. and Georgette M. (Fournier) Nadeau. She was raised in Holyoke and graduated from Holyoke High School. She lived in Holyoke for many years and moved to Springfield in 2006 where she lived the remainder of her life. She was last employed as a laundress at the former Holiday Inn in Holyoke and was previously a Certified Nursing Assistant at Sunny Acres Nursing Home in Haydenville and Chapel Hill Nursing Home in Holyoke. She was a communicant of Saint Patrick Church in South Hadley Falls. She was an avid candlepin bowler and took great pride being "Coach Terry" for the junior leagues at both the Fun Time Lanes in Holyoke and the Agawam Bowl. During her quiet time, she enjoyed crocheting and cross stitching. Above all, she loved spending time with her family and many friends. She leaves her beloved husband and best friend, Wayne A. LaFlamme, Sr. They were married on July 3, 1982 at the former Sacred Heart Church in Holyoke and were blessed with over 39 years of happiness together. She also leaves her two loving and devoted children, Wayne A. LaFlamme, Jr. and his wife, Sarah, of Westfield and Tabitha M. Avery and her husband, James, of Groveland; her three cherished grandchildren, Cullen LaFlamme, Ava LaFlamme, and Mason Avery; her three dear sisters, Vivian Cataloni and her husband, John, of West Virginia, Jacqueline Burnup and her husband, Mike, of Wisconsin, and Beatrice McAuliffe and her husband, John, of Holyoke; her dear brother, Albert Nadeau and his wife, Karen, of Holyoke; her dear father in law, Alfred LaFlamme, Sr. of Chicopee; her brother in law, Alfred LaFlamme, Jr. and his wife, Carol, of Chicopee; her dear sister in law, Linda Embury and her husband, Charlie, of Chicopee; her three godchildren, Jennifer Hudon, Faith Lindsay, and Kevin Nadeau; and her many dear nephews, nieces, cousins, friends, and extended family members. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Alfred Nadeau; and her dear mother in law, Rose (Clark) LaFlamme. Her family will receive friends on what would have been her 61st birthday, Wednesday, February 23, 2022 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the St. Pierre – Phaneuf Springfield Chapels, (413-737-1177), 7 Chapin Terrace, Springfield, MA 01107. Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, February 24, 2022 at 10 a.m. at Saint Patrick Church, 30 Main Street, South Hadley, MA 01075. Her burial will be held at a later date at Notre Dame Cemetery in South Hadley. Masks are recommended for her services.
