It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved son and husband, Craig E Asselin, age 58, who passed away on February 14, 2022 at Grand Strand Medical Center in Myrtle Beach. Craig was born in Chicopee on April 3, 1963, son of Dolores (Dolly) Asselin and the late Eugene Asselin who passed away July 18, 2021. Craig worked for US Foods for over 28 years at multiple locations starting out as an IT analysts and moving to Financial analyst, finally ending as a Senior Analyst for US Foods corporate. He enjoyed bowling for the majority of his life accomplishing 18 perfect games and 2 800 series. He enjoyed golfing, theater and taking his mother to the Metropolitan House in NYC. Craig also liked a great steak with a Knob Creek Manhattan, spoiling his wife and traveling both domestic and international. We was also an avid Boston Red Sox fan and all other sports. He is survived by his beloved wife of over 22 years, Diane (Lambert) Asselin of Holyoke. Craig also leaves behind to cherish his memory, Diane’s sister Vicky Maleko for always being there for him and his wife, and mother-in-law Jessica Lambert. He also leaves many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends who will miss him dearly. A Mass will take place in St Rose de Lima Church, 600 Grattan St, Chicopee on Saturday, Feb. 26, 2022 at 10:00 AM. To pay condolences to the family, please arrive by 9:15 AM. A celebration of his life will be held at the Elks Lodge at 431 Granby Road in Chicopee, immediately following the Mass. In lieu of flowers, donations of money or blood can be made to the American Red Cross in Craig’s honor.
