PARSONSFIELD- Patricia (Schickling) DiPietro passed away peacefully at her home on January 30, 2022, at the age of 89. She was born in Lynn, Massachusetts to the late Adam and Beatrice (Casey) Schickling. She was married 56 years to her late husband Peter J DiPietro. They met while working at GE in Lynn.
Pattee grew up in West Lynn. She graduated from St Mary’s High School in 1949. She was an active member of St Patrick’s parish and later of Holy Family church attending mass and participating in ladies sodality and church fairs.
Pattee and Pete, along with the family, spent part of their summers on Square Pond in Maine. In 1983 they retired to Maine. When Pattee got here she assisted with voter check-in during elections. She enjoyed making crafts, quilting and gardening and was a member of the Ladies Magazine Reading club. She belonged to a local quilting group and loved to discover new material (especially in green) each April while on the Maine Quilting Shop Hop with friends. More recently another of her favorite pastimes was to watch the birds at her feeders. She was a kind, caring person, a wonderful mother and a friend to all. She will be greatly missed.
She is predeceased by her late husband Peter J DiPietro and her granddaughter Denyse.
Surviving her are her six children: Rosanne, John and his wife Cathy, Michael, Mary, Peter Scott and his wife Meg, Lisa and her husband Phil. Her grandchildren: Adam, Lucas, Johnathan, Haley, Cassie, Kyle and David and great grandchild Owen. She also leaves behind her brothers: John J Schickling and wife Janet of Boxford, MA and Richard Schickling and wife Denise of Louisville, GA.
Her memorial will be held at a later date.
