Obituary

Raquel Marie Cappelletti (Capozzoli) of Norfolk, formerly of Canton passed away at home on February 14th at ninety-two years old surrounded by her loving family. Born in Boston, she was raised in Brighton. She lived in Canton for over 50 years where she raised her family and was a devoted wife and mother. For the past nine years she’s shared the home of her daughter and son in law, Gina and Larry, and “her dog Jake” where they took loving care of each other. She woke every morning with a smile on her face ready to start the day. In her free time, she enjoyed watching the birds on their feeders, watering the garden, making stepping stones, spoiling her best friend Jake with treats, watching old movies, and more recently she began making knotted blankets for her family, friends, and pets and donating them to local hospitals and pet shelters. She was always up for an adventure whether it be going down the Cape, visiting the Tall Ships, enjoying the Christmas Pops and Il Volo concerts or meeting her sister, Babe, for lunch. She always enjoyed and appreciated days spent with her caregiver and friend of many years, Crystal Cotter.

Beloved wife of the late John F. Mother of Linda M. Quin and her husband Gerard of Canton, Donna Cappelletti-O’Hara and her husband David of Canton, Joan F. Cappelletti of E. Sandwich, Gina M. Cappelletti and her husband Lawrence Kief of Norfolk. Sister of Francesca “Babe” McInerney of Allston and the late Henry “Sonny” Capozzoli. She was a wonderful grandmother to 7 grandchildren, Madison and Taylor Kielczewski, John and Michelle O’Hara, Michael and Matthew Quin, and Danielle Goldstein, and 10 great grandchildren.
