Gary L. Gignac, age 72, of Shelburne Falls passed away on Sunday, February 13, at Baystate Medical Center of Springfield. Raised and educated in Medford, he was the son of the late Reñe and Cora (Howarth) Gignac. Gary worked for many years as a barber, and was the owner of Happy’s Barber Shop in downtown Boston. He enjoyed watching sports, playing cards and Cribbage, and especially cooking for his family and friends.
Gary was the devoted father of Garrett Gignac and his wife Ashley of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, and Gregory Gignac of Malden. He was the dear brother of the late Reñe Gignac and his surviving wife Carol, and is also survived by his former wife, Deborah (DeSimone) of Malden.
At his family’s request, funeral services for Gary will be private.
