Emily loved spending time with her family, going to the beach, and singing the first lines of songs on road trips.

Above all, she made people feel appreciated and loved, never failing to help wherever, whenever, and however she could. Always aiming to bring out the best in everyone, she thrived as a social worker at Independence High School in New York City. She was adored by her colleagues and proud of her students and all of their accomplishments.

She will be remembered for organizing over the top events which always included one of a kind cakes that she made and decorated from scratch. If there was a party, Emily was there with homemade treats, an amazing balloon arch she crafted on her own the night before, and unique party favors. She had the ability to make any occasion, even something as simple as a sleepover, more fun for anyone involved. She truly was one of a kind and made sure her daughters, students and those she loved always felt special.
