Taisa “Taya” Fedorovna Lusakhpuryan (Chirkina) , age, 92, of (Chelmsford, MA), died peacefully on February 9, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. She was the widow of Ivan Adamovich Lusakhpuryan, a Major with the Soviet Army Scouts, and recipient of many honorary medals, including the Red Star, for his service during World War II. They were happily married for 33 years.
Taya was born on April 27, 1929 in the Village of Vodopyanovo, Stalingrad Oblast, Russia. She was the daughter of Maria Ivanovna Karatitskaya and Fedor Ivanovich Chirkin. She moved to Baku, Azerbaijan when she was five years old. Taya attended elementary and middle school in Baku, Azerbaijan until the 8th grade.
Prior to marriage, Taya was a singer for approximately 3-4 years in Baku; she sang in various shows and musicals. After she was married, she worked as teller for 25 years at the Azerbaijan National Bank in Baku. From 1989 through 1995 she lived in Velikiy Novgorod Russia.
In July 1995, she immigrated to the United States; initially living in Lowell, Massachusetts with her family. She resided in Chelmsford, Massachusetts from 1999 until her death.
She is survived by her daughter Nelli Lusakhpuryan and her son Yuriy Ivanovich Lusakhuryan and his wife Tatyana.
She was the sister of the late Anatoliy Fedorovich Chirkin.
Taya is also survived by her grandsons Alex Lusakhpuryan, his wife Dena, and their two children Brady and Marina and Kirill Lusakhpuryan and his wife Kelly and their daughter Emerson.
She is also survived by a close family friend Sevil Hasanova and other friends in Russia.
In her spare time, Taya enjoyed singing, dancing, scratch tickets, swimming in the ocean, traveling and spending time with her family.
Taya was a kind and loving person. She will be missed by her friends and family.
Funeral will take place privately.
