Shaun Patrick Rocha, of Lakeville, MA, beloved son, brother, uncle, grandson, nephew and friend, passed away February 6, 2022, unexpectedly at the age of 33.
Shaun is survived by his parents, Maureen Flanagan-Rocha and William J. Rocha; his siblings, William J. Rocha, Jr. and his fiancée Heather Tapper, Bethany A. Rocha, and Matthew J. Rocha and his girlfriend Colleen Nguyen; and his maternal grandmother, Elizabeth A. Flanagan. Shaun is also survived by his greatest joy, his niece, Delaney Rae Rocha whom he cherished and delighted in entertaining; his uncle, Jim Flanagan, Jr., with whom he spent much of his time; his aunt, Rebecca Hibbard; and several uncles, aunts and cousins.
Shaun was pre-deceased by his maternal grandfather, James A. Flanagan, Sr.; his paternal grandparents, Joseph and Florence Rocha; his uncle, Robert Rocha; his niece, Reagan Molloy Rocha; and his cousin, Adam T. Barbero.
He worked and spent much of his time on the New Bedford waterfront and dreamed of one day owning his own fishing boat. Shaun's best days were spent on the water sailing and fishing with friends. Shaun was a genuine, kind and compassionate person who would help anyone at any time. He was a graduate of Middleboro High School and attended Bishop Stang.

His Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, February 19, 2022 at 11:30am at Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 121 Mt. Pleasant St., New Bedford, with everyone meeting directly at Church. Visiting hours will be held Friday, February 18, 2022 from 4-8pm at the Saunders-Dwyer Mattapoisett Home for Funerals, 50 County Rd., Mattapoisett.
