Celine Currie (Herne) of Hingham, MA (formerly Pembroke and Milton, MA) passed away at the age of 68 on February 9, 2022. She is predeceased by her parents, Leonard J. and Grace C. Herne, as well as her two older brothers, Ray Herne and Dennis Herne, and her son, Adam Currie.
Celine is survived by her son, Christopher J. Currie (Anna) of Norwell, MA and her daughter, Meghanne C. Quirk (Ryan) of Scituate, MA. She is also survived by her four grandchildren; Hank (Currie), Lucy (Quirk), Kay (Currie), and Annie (Quirk), as well as numerous wonderful brothers and sisters in law and lifelong friends.
Growing up in Milton, MA Celine was the light of her parents' lives. She attended Saint Agatha’s and Fontbonne Academy. Celine received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Stonehill College where she majored in International Affairs. She then moved onto Boston University and received her Master of Science degree while majoring in Broadcast Journalism. Celine completed her internship at WBZ radio and received numerous awards for her incredible work in the field. Celine loved learning and spending countless hours laughing with her friends and loved ones. She loved a good dish of Brigham’s chocolate chip ice cream, and she loved the Patriots—especially Tom Brady.
A funeral mass will be held on what would have been Celine’s 69th birthday; Friday, February 18th at 10:30 in the morning at Saint Agatha’s Parish at 432 Adams Street in Milton, MA. There are no calling hours.
