Corliss, Marion E Jr. of West Roxbury passed away surrounded by her loving family on February 12, 2022. Beloved best friend of Rita Leach and her husband Peter. Devoted Auntie to her “three jewels” Thomas “L.B.” Leach and his wife Stephanie, Helen “Missy” Leach and August “Punky” Jones and their wife Courtney. Marion was thrilled to be a great aunt to John, Olivia and Joseph. One of her greatest joys was being a Godmother to her Godchildren Punky and Molly Conger. She leaves behind many friends, nieces and nephews.
Marion was greeted in heaven by her father, a former Boston Fireman whom she was very proud of, Joseph Corliss; her mother Marion Sr.; and her younger brother Robert “Bobby”.
Marion was a proud retiree of the Registry of Motor Vehicles and a graduate of Roslindale High School and Boston Business School. After retirement Marion devoted herself to the care of her family including her mother and her great nephew.
In her free time Marion enjoyed travelling, soaking in the sun on any beach, investing in the state of Massachusetts through the lottery fund and extending a kind hand to anyone in need. In addition, Marion was a lover of dogs, especially her beloved Trixie Theodora.
Marion’s friends and family will miss her generous heart, infectious laugh and positive outlook. Marion’s family are grateful for the care she received at The Linden in Dedham.
