Normand G. Marcheterre Sr., 72, of Hudson, died Wednesday, April 19, 2006, at Saint Vincent Hospital in Worcester, MA. Born in Newburyport, MA, son of Hector and Elizabeth (Domingues) Marcheterre. He was employed by the Best Western Hotel in Marlboro in charge of maintenance until his retirement. He was a life member of the Riverside Gun Club in Hudson.
He is survived by his children; Gloria Barry of Maynard, Normand Marcheterre Jr. of Hudson, Albert Marcheterre of Vermont, Donald Marcheterre of Florida, Wayne Marcheterre of Bellingham, Kevin Marcheterre of Ashland, William Marcheterre of Fitchburg and Edmond Marcheterre of Marlboro. He is also survived by three sisters; Dorothy Amberg of Florida, Rita Saia of Hudson, Pauline Ordway of Marlboro, two brothers; John Marcheterre of Florida, Paul Marcheterre of Clinton, sixteen grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Albert, Charles and Robert Marcheterre.
Funeral services will be held from the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home Inc., (www.tighehamilton.com) 50 Central St, Hudson, MA 01749 Saturday, April 29, 2006 with a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Visitation will be Saturday, from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Saint Michael Cemetery, Hudson, MA.
