In Raynham, John Baptista, age 76, passed away peacefully in his home while surrounded by his loving family on February 9, 2022. John is survived by his wife Elaine (Levesque) Baptista of Raynham. He was born in Taunton, the son of the late John Baptista Sr. & Emily (Morris) Baptista.
John had resided in Raynham since 1970. He attended Taunton schools, was a graduate of Coyle High School and received his bachelor’s degree from Bryant College in RI. John was employed as a systems analyst for several local companies. He enjoyed taking trips with his wife with the Bristol County Savings Bank Prime Time Club, riding bicycles, going to the Taunton Gun Club, canoeing, watching Perry Mason TV shows, and above all cherished his time with family.
In addition to his beloved wife Elaine, John leaves his daughters Sherry Baptista of Taunton and Kendra Baptista of Somerset, his siblings; Judith Simmons of Taunton, William Baptista of Taunton, and the late Daniel Baptista, and several nieces and nephews.
Services are private at the request of the family. His burial will be in the family lot in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Taunton.
