Roberta E. Driscoll 90, of 454 Grove St. Woonsocket died Wednesday at home. She was the wife of the late Thomas “Bud” G. Driscoll. Mrs. Driscoll was born in Lewiston ME a daughter of the late Thomas and Alice (Provencher) Richardson. Mrs. Driscoll was a supervisor at the former Narragansett Knitting Co. for many years and later a supervisor at A.T.Cross for over twenty years retiring in 1981. She was a member of the Trinity Club at St. Charles Parish, and the Taly-Ho Club. She was active in the Grove St. PTA. Mrs. Driscoll graduated from Woonsocket High School and Hill College. She was voted Miss Spring Lake in 1932.
Mrs. Driscoll is survived by a son Sean Driscoll of Woonsocket and Fort Lauderdale, FL a daughter Nanci Polseno of N. Scituate, six grandchildren, Shawn and Thomas Driscoll, Erin Karavas, Kristin Green, Kevin Larence, and Erik Tidd and seven great grandchildren. She was also the sister of the late Wallace, Walter, Wilson and Roger Richardson, Germaine Lussier, Georgette Currie, and Jeannette Gobeille.
Her funeral will be held Monday at 9:00 from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St. Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 in St. Charles Church, N. Main St. Woonsocket. Burial will be held in St. Charles Cemetery in Blackstone, MA. Visiting hours are Sunday 4-8 pm.
