Orvis L. Clark, 80, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Friday, February 11, 2022, at Dorminy Medical Center in Fitzgerald, Georgia.
Graveside services will be held 11:30 A.M., Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at Jacksonville National Cemetery, Jacksonville, Florida. The family will receive friends 6-8 Monday evening at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mr. Clark was born May 23, 1941, in Jamestown, Tennessee, to Lydia Clark. He served his country honorably in the United States Navy for over 20 years, retiring as Chief Aviation Electrician’s Mate. He then served in civil service with the United States Postal Service as an electronics maintenance engineer, retiring after 20 years.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Clark of Fitzgerald; sons: Travis Hayes Clark of Orange Park, Florida, Roy Christopher Johnson, III of Fitzgerald, Mack Addison Johnson of Fitzgerald, and Shawn Anthony Johnson of Franklin, Tennessee; as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren that he dearly loved. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a son, Orvis Leon Clark, Jr; and three brothers.
