William P Hemstedt, Jr., 66, of Bellingham died peacefully on Friday, February 11, 2022, at the Milford Regional Medical Center.
Born in Boston on January 27, 1956, he was the son of the late William P. and June (Farnham) Hemstedt, Sr.
Bill was a resident of Bellingham for over 35 years. He grew up in Medway and graduated from Medway High School in 1974.
Bill was self-employed and worked in construction for most of his life. He enjoyed hunting and playing golf.
He is survived by; two daughters, Jennifer Aaron and her husband Daniel of Bellingham and Melissa Hemstedt of Bellingham; and two grandchildren, Lennox and Layla Aaron.
He is also survived by; two sisters, Patrice Mullen of Natick and Carolyn Hemstedt of Brownfield, Maine; four nieces, one nephew and his former wife Linda Hemstedt of Bellingham. He was the brother of the late Linda Bristow.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral Mass at St. Joseph Church, 151 Village St. in Medway on Wednesday, February 16 at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Medway.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 5 - 8 p.m. in the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber St. in Medway (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com).
Due to the current Boston Archdiocese mask mandate, face masks are required in the church as well as in the funeral home.
