Joanne E. Bavineau, 71

Joanne E. (Crawford) Bavineau, age 71, of Middleboro, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 11, 2022 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. She was the beloved wife of Michael J. Bavineau, to whom she was wed for the past fifty-three years.
Born in Boston, MA on October 4, 1950, she was a loving daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret (Barrie) Crawford.
Joanne grew up in the Roslindale neighborhood of Boston and was educated in Roslindale Schools. Prior to retiring, she had worked for thirteen years as a store manager at the Prospect Hill Company in Brockton and previously as a shift supervisor at CVS Pharmacy for eighteen years.
A resident of Middleboro for the past twenty years, she formerly resided in Mansfield. Joanne was a communicant of Saints Martha & Mary Church in Lakeville and while living in Mansfield was a parishioner of Saint Mary’s Church in Mansfield. She loved spending time with her adoring family and received much pleasure in the meticulous manner of which she maintained her yard in Middleboro.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her devoted children: Margaret A. Duran and her husband Von of Norton and Cheryl M. Vilela of Middleboro. She was the cherished grandmother of Makaela Vilela of Middleboro, Joshua Vilela of Middleboro and Zoe Duran of Norton. She was the dear sister of Janice M. Norton of Plainville and the late James Haasis and Barbara Ahl and is also survived by her loving nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visiting hours on Tuesday, February 15th from 4:00-8:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main Street, Mansfield.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 16th at 11:00 A.M. in Saint Mary’s Church, 330 Pratt Street (Route 106) Mansfield. Burial will follow at Saint Mary’s Cemetery in Mansfield.
In lieu of flowers, Joanne’s family has requested that donations in her memory be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 309 Waverly Oaks Road, Waltham, MA 02452.
