Lois Y. Zorn, 92, of Ashburn passed away Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at Pruitt Healthcare in Ashburn.
Affectionately known as Granny, Lois was born in Doles, Georgia on January 16, 1930 to the late Eugene T. and Addie May Akridge Youngblood. Her mom passed away early after her birth. Her dad remarried Jewell Hardy Youngblood and they raised her together. She was a homemaker and a seamstress. She worked for Manhattan Shirt Factory for 19 years as well as Duck Head and All-American Mobile Homes. Lois loved working in her yard cutting grass and picking up pecans. She was also a member of Amboy Baptist Church
She is survived by her daughter, Frances Wilson of Rebecca; sons, Tom (Carlene) Zorn of Rebecca, Gerald (Shelley) Zorn of Thomasville and Ray (Jan) Zorn of Rebecca; grandchildren, Leann (Jim) Lumpkin, Clay (Kimberly) Wilson, Madelyn Zorn, Jessica (Chris) Golden, Chris (Monica) Zorn and Leila Zorn; great-grandchildren Marley Wilson, Myles Wilson, Mason Golden, Paul Zorn, Kenzie Zorn, McKinley Zorn and Colten Zorn. She is also survived by many other extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Osgood Zorn, and a granddaughter, Shanta Zorn.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 12, 2022 at Perry Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 1:00 PM until the hour of services at the funeral home. For those who wish to sign the family's guest register and pay their respects, you may do so Friday, February 11, 2022 from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM at Perry Funeral Chapel.
