New Bedford – Carol A. Souza, age 65, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Monday, February 7, 2022 following a long illness.
Carol was born in New Bedford, MA and she was the beloved daughter of the late Richard and Lucille (nee Rapoza) Souza. She had worked at Cornell Dubilier Electronics, Inc and AT&T.
The New Bedford native was an award-winning amateur photographer, an avid football fan, a needlepoint enthusiast and loved the game of poker. She spent time with family and friends with many visits to her Florida friends. She was one of a kind with a heart of gold.
She is survived by her sister, Janice S. Thurston and brother-in-law R. Gerald Thurston of Portsmouth, R.I.; George and Stella (Souza) Pires of So. Dartmouth and numerous cousins.
