Maureen “Willy” Ann O’Connor of Dorchester, MA passed peacefully February 5th surrounded by family after a brief illness.
Maureen graduated with an Associates of Science from Quincy College. She then went on to earn her Bachelors of Science from Eastern Nazarene College. Maureen after a long journey, she graduated with her Master’s Degree at National Graduate School for Quality Systems Management. In addition, she earned her Lean Six Sigma green belt through Florida Atlantic University.
Maureen was preceded by her beloved parents Richard F (Tarz) and Doris (Mag) O’Connor. She is survived by her loving brothers Richard (his wife Kathleen), Michael, and sister Christine (her husband Tom). She was a loving aunt to her nieces Jessica, Brittany (her husband Tony), Samantha, Rachel, Taryn, and Keri. She was a cherished “Auntie YeeYee” to her great nephew, Zayden, and niece, Kyla. She will forever be remembered by her friends and colleagues as Moe.
Maureen loved her time at the beach with her toes in the sand surrounded by her Florida family. She will be fondly remembered for her love of the Red Sox and her “children” Elmo and Zoey.
In honor of Willy, we invite you to wear your Red Sox gear to her Celebration of Life. Celebration of Life for Willy will be held on Sunday, February 13th from 12 PM - 3 PM at Casper Funeral Home in South Boston.
