Patrice M. D'Amelio 70, of Blackstone, MA, and a former resident of Franklin, passed away Monday, February 7, 2022, at Beaumont Rehabilitation & Skilled Nursing Center in Northborough following an illness.
Born April 20, 1951 in Milford, a daughter of the late Samuel F, and Virginia (Pasquali) D'Amelio, she was raised in Franklin and attended the special needs programs through the Franklin school system.
Patrice enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and especially enjoyed listening to music, dancing, visiting and going on trips.
Patrice is survived by her brothers, Raymond A. D'Amelio and his wife, Jane, of Milford, MA, and Robert J. D'Amelio of Watertown, MA. She is also survived by her niece, Doreen D'Amelio of Woonsocket, R.I., and a nephew, Daniel D'Amelio and his wife, Kristin, of Fuquay-Varina, N.C..
Additionally, Patrice attended various personal achievement programs and workshops through the Department of Developmental Services and The Kennedy-Donovan Center. For the past 30 plus years, she has been part of the Adult Foster Care Program, and for the past 20 years has resided with her provider, Debbie Askew and her family, in Blackstone, MA. Patrice thrived in this home environment like an extended family, and received much love and support that enhanced her quality of life.
A private funeral service is arranged followed by burial at St. Mary's Cemetery, Franklin. A mass will take place at a later date.
