Mubarak Hasan (birth name Earl McMullen)
Birthplace Los Angeles, Ca. On May 19, 1948
Earl was born to the late Johnnie Mae Estes and Erven Walls (Dot)
Earl was raised in a religious home by his mother and grandmother Emma Bell Waller. He attended Paiges Temple as a youth in Los Angeles. Santa Barbara Elementary, Foshay Junior High and graduated from John Muir High in 1967.
In 1967 he was awarded a scholarship to Olsen’s Barber College and was self-employed as a barber and hair stylist for over 50 years. He was affectionately known in the community as "Earl the Pearl”. Earl owned several hair salons and employed many in the community. He encouragedmany to also go into the hair business. He served many including major athletes of the LA Dodgers and the Rams, Entertainers in the music industry.
Early in life, Earl accepted Allah in his life and the Nation of Islam and changed his name to Mubarak Shabazz Hasan.
Hasan is preceded in his death by his late mother Johnnie Mae McMullen-Estes (Little sister) his late father Erven Wells (Dot), late grandmother Emma Bell Frazier –Waller and sister Hanan Shaheed (Birth name Jacqueline McMullen).
Hasan leaves the following family members to cherish his memory:
Children: Kamilah McMullen (Daughter), Nailah Murray (Daughter), Earl McMullen II (Son), Jamilah Hill (Daughter), Aminah Kiser (Daughter) and Darrell Kiser (son-n-law).Grandchildren: Taylor Gray, Steven Santiago, Benjamin Robinson and Brooke Lindsay.
Great grandson: Caiden Santiago
Ex-wife: Pamela Booker
Siblings: Robert Lee McMullen, Hanan Shaheed (Birth name Jacqueline McMullen), Diana Estes-Morgan (Jean), Carl McDowell and Carolyn McDowell.

A host of cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and loved ones.

Hasan was a loving and kind friend, brother, husband, father, grandfather and uncle. May Allah be pleased with Hasan
