Thompson, CT – Marion E. (Leland) Piligian, 87, of Thompson, passed away while surrounded by her family on Sunday, February 6, 2022 in the home of her daughter.
Marion was married to the late, Robert C. Piligian Sr. for 23 years who died in 1995. She is survived by two sons, Robert C. Piligian Jr. of Putnam, CT and Alfred M. “Butch” Marshall of Worcester, MA; four daughters, Donna Dickieson of Spencer, MA, Brenda Stearns of Sutton, MA, Tina Carl of Dayville, CT and Jennifer Bombara of Thompson, CT; two sisters, Charlotte Rivard and Joyce Mooney; 10 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and many nephews and nieces.
Marion was born in Upton, MA daughter of the late Herbert Leland and Margaret (Chaplin) Giblin. She worked for many years as a home health aide for various agencies including Catholic Charities of Worcester County and Samaritan Health Care.
Mrs. Piligian was an avid reader and could often be found watching one of her favorite westerns, gardening or spending time with her beloved pets.
Funeral services are being held privately with burial alongside her husband in Hope Cemetery, Worcester. Memorial contributions in memory of Marion may be made to the American Diabetes Association PO Box 8023 Merrifield, VA 22116.
