Dolores M. Tassinari, 93, formerly of Weston, died peacefully in the care and comfort of her beloved family on Friday, February 4, 2022 following a period of declining health.
She was born in Waltham on September 2, 1928 the daughter of the late Sebastian Tassinari and Enrica (Vecchi) Tassinari.
Dolores is survived by four generations of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great nieces and nephews as well as great-great-great nieces and nephews who loved and adored her and whom she helped to raise. She was pre-deceased by her eight siblings.
Dolores has been a longtime resident of Weston and was an active communicant for over 80 years at Saint Julia Parish and was devoted to her Catholic faith. She was a graduate of Weston High School. For many years prior to her retirement she was the Assistant Manager of the Packing and Shipping Department at Potter Press in Waltham and retired from Little Brown Time Warner in Waltham.
She loved cooking and baking and had a fondness for chocolate. Dolores was also an avid reader. Her large family was the center of her life and she enjoyed and loved being with them and was an integral part of all of their lives.
At the request of her family, private funeral services will be held at the John C. Bryant Funeral Home in Wayland. Interment will be in Linwood Cemetery in Weston.
