Wanda L. Miernicki, 87, of Smithfield, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend died peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, December 16, 2021. She was the wife of the late Charles J. Miernicki.
A life-long resident of Rhode Island, she enjoyed spending time with her family, crafting and gardening. Her neighbors would comment on how her yard looked like a park. She knew the name of every flower, tree and ground cover and everyone looked to her for advice on gardening.
Wanda leaves behind her three daughters, Barbara A. Clough and her husband, Christopher of Smithfield, Patricia E. Miernicki of Smithfield, Carole Stiles and her husband, Keith of Smithfield, her grandchildren, whom she loved beyond words, Sean J. Clough of Smithfield, Ryan C. Clough of Smithfield, Allie Miernicki of Smithfield, whom Grammie called her Little Angel. She leaves behind her nieces from California, cousins and nephews from North Providence and New York, and many life-long friends.
Wanda will be missed by all who loved her.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, February 28, 2022 at 10 am at St. Michaels’ Church, 80 Farnum PIke, Smithfield. Burial will be private in Shenandoah, PA.
