Elizabeth J. “Libby” (Freeman) Keister, age 75, of Stoughton, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 7, 2022 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton.
Born in Attleboro, MA on June 25, 1946, she was a daughter of the late Arthur M. and Myra J. (Helpard) Freeman.
Libby grew up in Norton and graduated as the Valedictorian of the Norton High School class of 1964. She futured her education, earning a bachelor’s degree in Education from Framingham State College.
A resident of Stoughton for over forty years, Libby retired in 1999 as a Home Economics Teacher in the Lakeville School System, where she was well liked and respected by her students and fellow educators.
Libby will always be remembered for her exceptional cooking skills. She was a talented seamstress, extremely stylish and enjoyed the simple pleasures of relaxing at home.
She is survived by her brother John Freeman and his with Dorothy A. Freeman of Norton. She was the loving aunt of Paul A. Freeman of Norton, Peter M. Freeman of Norton and the great aunt of Andrew J. Freeman.
Services, along with burial at the Norton Center Cemetery in Norton, will be held privately at the convenience of her family.
Visiting hours are omitted and those wishing may remember Libby with a donation in her memory made to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, 450 Brookline Avenue, Boston, MA 02215.
